An international golf tournament among schoolchildren was held in the Moscow region. More than 100 children took part in it.

The competition was attended by schoolchildren between the ages of eight and 14 who attend school golf classes. It is specified that the younger participants played with plastic clubs for safety reasons, and the older ones with professional equipment.

"We are growing, today we have more than 40 sections in the Moscow region. As we said, we need to achieve 100. Today, schoolchildren are already competing directly with professional clubs," said Valery Gavrilov, President of the Moscow Region Golf Federation.

It is specified that classes in the sections are free, they take place on a real golf course.

On March 28, Matfey Yurasov, a schoolboy from Moscow, won the gold medal at the World Chess Championship in Serbia. It is specified that Yurasov became the world champion in the under-13 age category.
