In Ugra, a teenager burned a banned symbol of fascism, the swastika, on a poster dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, and a criminal case was opened. This was announced on May 23 by the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for Khanty—Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Yugra.

According to the investigation, the incident occurred in May of this year in the village of Malinovsky, Sovetsky district. In connection with this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Part 3 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Rehabilitation of Nazism — desecration of symbols of military glory of Russia, insulting the memory of defenders of the Fatherland, humiliation of honor and dignity of veterans of the Great Patriotic War, committed in public"). For this violation, imprisonment for up to three years is provided.

"Investigative actions are being carried out in the criminal case," the department's Telegram channel says.

On May 16, it was reported that a criminal case had been opened in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky against a local resident on suspicion of Nazism. The man posted materials in the messenger with a positive assessment of violent acts recognized by the international tribunal as a crime against humanity.
