The fire occurred on the territory of one of the schools in the Jala-Abad region of Kyrgyzstan, its approximate area was 1.8 thousand square meters. m. On May 23, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the republic reported.

"The fire occurred on the night of May 23 at a school in the village of Komsomolskoye in the Suzak district of the Jalal-Abad region," TASS quoted the agency as saying.

It is specified that, according to preliminary information, the fire destroyed the entire third floor of the educational institution, there were no casualties. At the moment, specialists have managed to eliminate the fire, 80 firefighters, seven special vehicles and one tanker truck took part in extinguishing it.

Representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations have formed a special commission that will have to determine the causes of the fire and calculate the damage caused.

The ANI news agency reported on May 18 that at least 17 people, including women and children, were killed in a fire in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad. According to preliminary data, the fire occurred due to a short circuit in the pearl store.
