Five people were killed in a three-car collision in the Volgograd region.

Five people were killed and two others were injured in a three-car collision in the Zhirnovsky district of the Volgograd region. This was announced on May 23 in the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region on the VKontakte social network page.

The agency reported that the Lada Kalina driver drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided with two cars. Five people died in the collision, and two others were injured.

The Interior Ministry announced the initiation of a criminal case. Law enforcement officers are investigating all the circumstances of the incident.
