A woman was injured as a result of a rupture of a coal dust reservoir on the territory of a thermal power plant in Angarsk, Irkutsk region. This was reported on May 23 on the website of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region.

"A coal dust reservoir ruptured on the territory of CHPP-9. A 35-year-old woman was injured in the incident. She was taken to a medical facility with burns," the ministry said in a statement.

It is noted that a criminal case has been opened into the incident under Part 1 of Article 143 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of labor protection requirements that negligently caused serious harm to health").

The department added that all the details of the incident are being clarified. Forensic investigators are working on the site. During the investigation, all necessary examinations will be appointed and witnesses will be questioned, the statement said.

On May 16, an explosion occurred in Salavat at the Candle LLC paraffin production plant. During the liquidation of the consequences, the body of the deceased man was removed from the rubble on the same day. Later, on May 18, one of the victims died in intensive care. The next day, another man died in the hospital.
