Answering the question, Lut noted that food prices are located in different directions. So, according to her, the cost of some types of products is increasing, while the price of others is decreasing.

At the moment, the minister continued, the most critical group is vegetables and potatoes, which is associated with high yields and falling prices in 2023, against which prices in the next two years (2024-2025) seem high. She noted that the first vegetables and potatoes will appear from the end of June, as a result of which prices for these categories of products are expected to decrease from July.

On May 7, it became known that the State Duma was proposing to fix prices for socially important food for children. According to the document that Izvestia has, it is proposed to adopt a program of state support for Russian baby food manufacturers and fix prices for socially important products for children.
