The 15th ASEAN Meeting on Humanitarian Demining was held at the Patriot Exhibition Center.

The 15th meeting of the Expert Working Group of the Meeting of Defense Ministers of the ASEAN Member States and Dialogue Partners (CMOA Plus) was held on the territory of the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center (ECC) in the Moscow region on humanitarian demining. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on May 23.

The meeting was attended by 18 countries, six of which attended the negotiations remotely via videoconference. The event was chaired by Russia and Laos.

It is specified that the expansion of cooperation between states in the field of humanitarian demining has become one of the main objectives of the meeting. The parties also discussed the prospects for the development of mine-fighting equipment and the use of high-tech tools.

Representatives of Laos, who are co-representatives of the expert working group, were shown the Military Engineering Academy and the International Mine Action Center of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as well as demonstrated modern means of searching and protecting sappers, which are supplied to the Russian army.

The use of drones has been included in the training program for engineering troops.
