The Presnensky Court of Moscow has received a new administrative protocol against Maria Maksakova-Igenbergs, a singer and former State Duma deputy who left for Ukraine (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) for violating the law on foreign agents. This was reported by RIA Novosti on May 23, citing court data.

"The protocol against Maksakova-Igenbergs M.P. was registered by the court on May 21," the report says.

It is noted that the protocol was drawn up upon the fact that the foreign agent failed to provide information about himself to the authorized body. For this, the singer faces a fine of 30 to 50 thousand rubles.

The artist left the Russian Federation in May 2022, and a year later the Ministry of Justice recognized her as a foreign agent for calling for the overthrow of the current Russian government and advocating the transfer of weapons to Ukraine.

In September 2024, a criminal case was opened against Maksakova under paragraph "b" of Part 2 of art. The Criminal Code of the Russian Federation is 280.4. ("Public calls to carry out activities directed against the security of the state using mass media or electronic or information and telecommunication networks, including the Internet"). She was arrested in absentia.

Later, in February of this year, a new, second criminal case was opened against the actress. The reason for the initiation of the case was the absence of her videos, which were published on the YouTube video hosting site, marking the status of a foreign agent.
