Debris from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) shot down by the air defense forces in the Lipetsk region fell on the territory of an industrial zone, causing a fire. This was announced on May 23 by the governor of the region Igor Artamonov.

"The UAVs were suppressed in the sky over Yelets. The debris fell in an industrial area, causing a fire," he said in a message on his Telegram channel.

He added that emergency services specialists are working at the scene of the fire, and people are being evacuated. In addition, the governor clarified that the UAV attack continues.

According to Artamonov, it is possible to introduce temporary restrictions on the operation of the mobile Internet in the city. He explained that such measures are necessary to increase the effectiveness of protection against drones.

On the same day, the governor of the Tula region, Dmitry Milyaev, announced that Russian air defense systems had repelled another UAV attack on the region. According to him, 37 drones have been eliminated in the region over the past two days.
