The number of victims as a result of the missile strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on Lgov in the Kursk region has increased to 16 people. This was announced on May 23 by the acting governor of the region, Alexander Khinshtein.

"The number of victims as a result of the rocket attack on the city of Lgov has increased to 16 people," he said in his Telegram channel.

It is noted that four victims are in serious condition, 10 people are receiving necessary medical care in regional hospitals, and two more have been released for outpatient treatment.

As a result of the Ukrainian strike, 30 private houses were damaged in the city, windows were broken in 26 apartments, shops, a car wash and cars were also damaged in various ways.

Khinstein announced the imminent start of work on the restoration of infrastructure and announced assistance to all victims of the shelling.

Ukrainian militants launched a massive attack on Lgov in the Kursk region on the evening of May 22. Initially, 12 victims were reported, including two minors. Investigators have opened a criminal case on a terrorist attack on the fact that the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired on Lgov.
