US President Donald Trump will take part in the annual G7 summit, which will be held in June in the Canadian city of Calgary. This was announced on May 22 by White House press Secretary Caroline Leavitt.

"President Trump will travel to Canada for the G7 leaders' summit," she said at a briefing broadcast on CNBC's YouTube channel.

The summit will be held from June 15th to 17th.

On May 8, the US president called the decision to exclude Russia from the G8 association, adopted by the West in 2014, stupid. According to him, the time for the restoration of this format has already passed.
