The Colombian Ambassador to the Russian Federation announced the holding of a meeting of the intergovernmental commission of the two countries in the fall.

A meeting of the intergovernmental commission of Russia and Colombia will be held this fall. On May 23, the country's ambassador to the Russian Federation, Hector Arenas Neira, told Izvestia.

"We have not yet determined the exact date. But it will be a must this year, September-October. The Commission (meeting. — Ed.) will be in Colombia, in Bogota," he said.

According to the diplomat, the Russian delegation will be headed by the Minister of Higher Education and Science Valery Falkov. Trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation, as well as cooperation between states in the field of culture and education will be on the agenda, Neira stressed.

In November last year, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia expects to resume the work of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation with Colombia. Moscow intends to deepen trade and economic ties between the two countries, the minister added.
