Air defense forces shot down 159 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions in 12 hours

The Air Defense Forces eliminated 159 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the Russian regions for 12 hours. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on May 22.

"On May 22, from 08:00 to 20:00 Moscow time, 159 Ukrainian aircraft—type unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed and intercepted by air defense systems on duty," the report says.

It is specified that 22 drones were eliminated over the Moscow region, 53 drones were shot down over Kursk, 54 over Oryol, 13 drones were shot down in the sky over the Tula regions, six more were destroyed over the Bryansk region.

In addition, four unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were eliminated in the skies over the Ryazan region, two over the territory of the Kaluga Region, and another drone was neutralized over the Belgorod Region.

This morning, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that from 20:00 on May 20 to 08:00 on May 22, 485 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were shot down over the territory of Russia. It was clarified that all the drones were of the airplane type.
