The Russian Air Defense Forces destroyed eight drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) flying to Moscow. This was announced on May 22 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

"The air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense repelled an attack by eight drones flying to Moscow," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

It is specified that emergency services specialists are working at the crash site.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that from 20:00 on May 20 to 08:00 on May 22, 485 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were shot down over the territory of Russia. It was clarified that all the drones were of the airplane type.
