The head of the Belovsky district of the Kursk region spoke about the attack of the drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Nikolai Volobuyev, head of the Belovsky district of the Kursk region, who was injured in an attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), on May 22, shared with Izvestia the details of what happened.

"I decided, despite the high speed, to jump out of the car. The drone hit the car, I fell to the asphalt, fell into a ditch. I couldn't get up, I crawled to the side of the road," he said.

According to Volobuev, Russian soldiers passing by picked him up from the roadway and took him to the hospital.

The head of the Belovsky district also noted that he did not expect a call from Russian President Vladimir Putin after the incident.

"The President thanked me and all the heads of the border regions and volunteers for staying in their districts during such a difficult time and saving people's lives," Volobuev stressed.
