- In Moscow, the turnover of manufacturing industries has almost reached 1.7 trillion rubles.

The turnover of Moscow's manufacturing industries, excluding the oil and gas sector, reached 1.7 trillion rubles in the first quarter of 2025, an increase of 6.4% in comparable prices compared to the same period in 2024. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Moscow, Head of the Department of Economic Policy and Development of the city Maria Bagreeva on May 23.
"The manufacturing industry plays a key role in Moscow's economy. The industry's enterprises produce a wide range of products: from products and consumer goods to modern technological materials and sophisticated equipment. The industry ensures stable revenues to the city budget, stimulates the development of new technologies, and creates highly qualified jobs," she said.
Almost 13% of the turnover volume — 221 billion rubles — was provided by the food industry. A significant share of the industry turnover is occupied by manufacturers of high—tech products — computers, electronic and optical products, which earned 157.5 billion rubles, or more than 9% of the total turnover. The pharmaceutical industry accounted for 138.8 billion rubles, or over 8% of turnover, while chemical manufacturers accounted for 98.7 billion rubles (about 6%).
Earlier, on May 15, Bagreeva said that the retail trade turnover in the capital in January – March 2025 reached almost 2 trillion rubles. This is 3.2% more than in the same period of 2024.
