Measures to combat the "gray" import of Lixiang into Russia

Representatives of Sinomach Auto and Li Auto companies are studying measures to combat unofficial Lixiang car dealers in Russia who violate service standards using "gray" schemes. This is stated in the message of the Sinomach press service, which was received by Izvestia on May 22.
Thus, among the measures taken are the developed unified dealer evaluation system, the termination of the "gray" channels, as well as the coordination of measures to counter the illegal use of trademarks, advertising banners and signage. Measures to block the multimedia system of cars imported illegally into Russia were also discussed, the company said.
According to Mikhail Kou, deputy head of Sinomach Auto in Russia, the official import of Lixiang cars to Russia will begin in the fourth quarter of 2025. Until then, Li Auto will close all previous unofficial import channels, and only the Russian branch of Hyperion Leasing (a subsidiary of Sinomach Auto) will be allowed to supply cars.
On May 14, Sinomach Auto announced retail prices for Chinese Li Auto (Lixiang) crossovers in Russia. The L6 and L7 models will be available in two trim levels, while the flagship L9 will be available in one. Official sales will begin at the end of May 2025, Avilon dealer holding announced earlier. The cars will receive a three—year warranty, or 100,000 km of mileage (whichever comes first), as well as a traction battery warranty of eight years, or 160,000 km.
