The Izvestia team became the first in the media regatta of the Tenzor Elite Cup 2025 sailing tournament

The first of the four stages of the international sailing tournament Tenzor Elite Cup 2025 starts tomorrow at the Pestovsky reservoir. Today, on May 22, the partners' regatta opened the sailing series program. The Izvestia TV channel team took part in the race and took the honorable first place. The participants of the tournament were Pimova Tatiana, Pimova Anastasia, Gaiduchak Elena and Budko Georgy. Pavel Sozykin (the FICHE team), a master of sports of international class, participant of the Olympic Games in Rio and Tokyo in the 470 class, bronze medalist of the World Championship in the 470 class, champion of Russia, became the skipper of Izvestia.

According to the organizers, the Izvestia team showed excellent results in a hard struggle. With little wind, the participants reached the finish line first three times. The second place was taken by the 360 TV channel team. The three winners were rounded out by the Scarlet Sails blogger team.

Earlier it became known that the Igor Chentsov Regatta was included in the program of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum sports Games. The competition is organized by the Tenzor Sailing Club yacht club network. The competition will be held from May 22 to May 25. 15 strongest teams and about 70 yachtsmen will take part in the regatta. Among them are winners and prize-winners of world and national championships and Cups in various yacht classes, participants of the Olympic Games and leaders of the Russian sailing team.

The first three stages of the tournament will be held from May to September in the Moscow region at the Pestovsky reservoir, and for the final stage in early November, participants will travel to Sochi, where they will have to identify the winners of the entire season in marine conditions.

The traditional one-day Tenzor Cup Junior tournaments for children from 7 to 13 years old will also be held during the competition. Events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War will also be on the agenda of the first stage.

The Tenzor Elite Cup is supported by the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Moscow Region, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Moscow Region and the All-Russian Sailing Federation. The tournament is held in accordance with the objectives of the state program "Development of Physical culture and Sports".
