As a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kherson region, one person was killed and another was injured. This was announced by Governor Vladimir Saldo on May 22.

"The shelling of Alyosha led to the death of a 54-year-old man. A 67-year-old woman was injured in Novaya Kakhovka. She is currently in a local hospital," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

In addition, the governor added that in the village of Chongar, the Genichesky district, the gas station building was damaged, but thanks to prompt actions, a fire and explosion were avoided.

Baldo also reported that Ukrainian troops had shelled several settlements, including Kakhovka, Golaya Pier, Korsunka, Novaya Mayachka, Proletarka, Rybalche and Solontsy. The situation in the region remains tense.

On May 19, Baldo reported that three civilians were injured during the day as a result of attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kherson region. In addition, the militants attacked Alyoshki, Kakhovka, Velikaya Lepetikha, Vinogradovo, Golaya Pier, Gornostayevka, as well as Dneprany, Novaya Mayachka, Staraya Zburyevka and Proletarka.
