Russians named professional fields with the fastest career growth


Among the Russians surveyed, 46% expressed the opinion that the fastest way to achieve career growth is in IT, 29% — in sales, 28% — in banking and finance. Among the zoomers— citizens aged 18 to 25, the top industries are different: in the first positions they have administrative staff (50%) and catering (38%). This is stated in the results of a survey of the ROSTIC'S fast-food restaurant chain and the <url> job search service.
Russians also identified areas where you can quickly climb the career ladder and get a leadership position without a specialized education, such as sales (47%), catering (34%) and retail (22%). 75% of respondents chose the catering sector among zoomers.
39% of Russians believe that it is possible to reach a senior position in a period of one to three years. More than a third of the respondents (34%) answered that it would take more than three years, and 18% — more than five years.
When asked what minimum wage Russians would agree to, given that they would receive a promotion within a year, more than a third of respondents (34%) indicated an amount from 50,000 to 70,000 rubles, and one in four (25%) — from 70,000 to 100,000 rubles. Zoomers are willing to work for a lower fee — 50% of them, under the specified conditions, expect that the income will be from 30 thousand to 50 thousand rubles.
But when choosing between a promotion or a salary increase, the majority of Russians (72%) will choose the latter.
According to Russians, the most important qualities an employee should possess in order to quickly climb the career ladder are leadership qualities (60%), initiative (52%), responsibility (41%), teamwork (37%), and sociability (37%).

Polyworking is most common among Generation Z, young professionals who are just starting to build their careers. They do not want to focus on one profession and willingly try themselves in different roles.
