Regions reacted to the Audit Chamber's report on massive violations in projects

The regions responded to the Audit Chamber's report on the implementation of infrastructure projects, in which the agency reported massive violations. Their comments appeared on May 22 at the disposal of Izvestia.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that the joint venture had discovered violations in initiatives that were launched with loans from the federal budget. For example, in Chuvashia, local authorities purchased almost 50 buses, but they were put on the routes only six months later. In the Omsk region, funds from a special treasury loan in the amount of 850 million rubles were involved in the construction of a water pipeline in villages. The local authorities transferred advances to the contractors in the amount of 473 million rubles, but the work was completed for only 3 million rubles.
In Chuvashia, an incomplete bus line is connected with a shortage of drivers, the press service of the regional Ministry of Transport reported. Now the carrier has formed a staff of drivers, which allows using all 47 purchased buses on the routes. However, the need for personnel remains.
The republic has carried out work to increase the attractiveness of the driver's profession, and provisions are also being developed on compensation payments for mortgage loans and lifting payments for newly employed employees.
According to the Ministry of Finance of the Omsk region, during the construction of a water pipeline in the villages of Krutaya Gorka, Krasnoyarsk and Chernoluchinsky, there was a slight delay in schedule, which was due to a delay in the supply of materials to the contractor. By the end of 2024, the construction of the water pipeline should be completed, and the deadline for the technological connection of the water pipeline was postponed to June 18 this year.
"Activities implemented in the region with the involvement of federal funds, including through budget loans, are a priority for the regional government. The implementation of projects aimed at infrastructure development is under constant control of the head of the region," the press service of the regional Finance Ministry said.
On March 14, the Chairman of the Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko, positively assessed the results of the work of the Accounts Chamber of Russia for 2024, and also noted a change in approaches in the department's activities with the arrival of Boris Kovalchuk as chairman of the body. According to her, there are good indicators of the return of funds to budgets of all levels, the effectiveness of inspections is increasing.
