Moscow has sent Kiev a list of people for the exchange of prisoners in the "1000 to 1000" format. This was announced on May 22 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
According to him, at the moment, the response document from the Ukrainian side has not yet been received.
"We really handed over our list. A counter list has not yet been received from Kiev. We are waiting," the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation told Interfax.
Negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations began at Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul on May 16. The dialogue between the representatives of the countries lasted about 1 hour and 50 minutes. According to media reports, before the talks, Vladimir Medinsky, Assistant to the President of Russia, who heads the Russian delegation, also held a meeting with Michael Anton, a representative of the US State Department.
Medinsky also said that Ukraine and the Russian Federation have agreed on a large-scale exchange of prisoners of war in the "1000 to 1000" format, which should take place in the coming days.
