The projects of Izvestia and REN TV were included in the shortlist of the National prize of Iran 2025

On May 22, the Institute for Internet Development (ANO IRI) announced the finalists of the National Internet Content Award, 75 projects were shortlisted. Among the finalists are Izvestia News and REN TV channel.

IRI announced the finalists of the Award in the main categories, including: "Video clip up to 3 minutes", "Documentary project", "Game series over 30 minutes", "Short film project", "Telegram Channel", "Special project in online media", "Animated content", "Game series up to 30 minutes", "Vertical format project", "Non-scripted project", "Viral content", "Podcast", "Blog", "Music track", "Social Internet campaign". In the nomination "Special Project in online media", the jury noted a special multi-format and multiplatform project of Izvestia — "Different. Their own ." Also included in the shortlist in the nomination "Game series over 30 minutes" is the REN TV series "Operation Carpathians".

Special project "Different. Svoi" tells about the language as the most important component of the cultural code of any nation. It aims to show how different people and nations inhabit our country, and at the same time demonstrate unity, interest and respect for the values of each of them. The project highlights how the diversity of cultures creates Russia's greatness. The project is based on modern multimedia formats: users are invited not only to read an expert article about one of the languages of the peoples of Russia, but also to hear how it sounds. Vivid videos that tell about the peculiarities of music, folklore, and culture of peoples help to get to know the cultural code of a native speaker. There are also interactive game mechanics: the game "By the standards of Russia", where the user needs to correctly assemble three national costumes, and the audio game "Russian Test", where the user is asked to determine the meaning of a word pronounced in the national language, dialect or slang. The project "Different. The website "About the languages of Russia" was developed with the support of Iran and attracted the attention of more than 3.9 million unique users.

"Operation Carpathians." He was also among the finalists of the IV National Internet Content Award. The project is one of the top 3 most successful REN TV series of its own production. According to Mediascope, the share of REN TV in the target audience of "All 22-55" reached 10.9% during the premiere of the series on May 5, 2024, and the rating was 2.2%. On the day of the premiere, the series was watched by more than 16.4 million viewers. This project is also included in the list of the 250 best TV series of domestic and foreign production according to Kinopoisk.

The IRI Award for authors of socially significant projects on the Internet will be held on June 5, 2025 in Moscow at the Mosfilm Cinema and Concert Complex. The winners will be awarded in 22 nominations.

And one of the most vividly represented genres is projects for teenagers that you can watch with your children. All the finalists were able to package important meanings for society in viral Internet formats, winning the attention of the audience, and this is their main achievement. They are all already winners," said Alexey Goreslavsky.

The award was established by the Institute for the Development of the Internet (ANO "IRI") to promote creative online content and its authors. The first award ceremony took place in the summer of 2022. The finalists of the Award are determined by the Expert Council, and the winners are selected by a professional jury.
