Russians have stopped hiding part-time jobs from their employer

Almost half of Russians (46%) openly inform their employer about their part-time jobs. This is evidenced by the survey data from the Kontur communications service.Tolk", which was reviewed by Izvestia on May 22.
According to the study, every tenth respondent hid a part-time job only during employment. Another 30% prefer not to report other earnings to management.
Russians mostly find part—time jobs through acquaintances and word of mouth (35%), a quarter use job aggregator sites (25%) and social networks (22%), and 14% create projects themselves and look for clients.
It is noted that managers are loyal to the additional earnings of subordinates. For 20% of the respondents, talking about it did not cause any problems. Only 1.7% of the respondents were reprimanded, so they had to give up part-time work, and 0.2% were fired.
Most employees say they have no plans to change the employment format. Thus, 45% of respondents will continue to combine their main job with personal projects, a third strive to keep one job with a stable income, 13% would like to work only as a freelancer, 8% would like to build their own business, 3% would change jobs frequently in order to develop professionally.
One third of the survey participants allocate five hours a week for part—time work, one in four — up to 10 hours, 15% - up to 20 hours. Another 17% of specialists cannot estimate the workload in hours, as the schedule is not fixed and depends on the number of projects.
Almost half of the respondents are knowledge workers who earn extra money remotely. Of these, 78% have not studied anywhere for the sake of additional earnings and are using the skills they have already acquired, 20% have been trained, and another 8% are just planning to do so.
Yesterday, Vladimir Koritsky, CEO of the service for secure transactions with freelancers at Solar Staff, told Izvestia about a new trend — polyworking: when a person simultaneously conducts several projects, he works for a number of companies in different roles. According to the expert, this allows people to increase their income, constantly develop skills in various fields, be creative and avoid routine.
