Russian President Vladimir Putin presented the Hero of Russia star to Corporal Lyudmila Bolila, a nurse at the medical center of the motorized rifle unit, who provided first aid to wounded Russian servicemen under fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The ceremony took place on May 22 in the Catherine Hall of the Senate Palace in the Kremlin.

In the course of providing assistance to the Russian military, she covered the seriously wounded man with her body, taking on all the striking elements and fragments. She was seriously injured, but was able to save the soldier's life.
