The UK has launched an investigation into the death of a man at the monument "Motherland is calling!"

The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia is conducting an investigation into the death of a man at the head of the monument "Motherland calls!" in Volgograd during an excursion. This was reported on May 22 in the press service of the Volgograd Region department.

It is noted that according to preliminary data, the man's death has no signs of a criminal nature.

All the circumstances of the incident are currently being established.

Earlier that day in Volgograd, a man died at the head of the monument "Motherland is calling!" during an excursion. It was clarified that the deceased was the rector of the Moscow State Academy of Physical Culture (MGAFK) Nikolai Chesnokov.
