The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) fined Alfa-Bank for false credit card advertising. This was reported on May 22 in the department.

The amount of the fine is not specified.

According to the FAS, the ad contained false information about receiving cashback.

"The advertisement was distributed through a search engine, as well as in the Moscow Metro. It provided attractive information: "10% cashback on everything." At the same time, it was reported on the bank's website that the promotion applies only to certain types of card transactions," the message says.

As noted in the FAS, advertising misled consumers on the terms of financial services. The agency found it unreliable, issued an order to stop the violation and fined the credit institution.

Earlier, on April 9, the FAS recognized Ozon Bank's advertising as inappropriate due to false information in the video. It was reported that the video contained information about the purchase of goods in installments in the application of the credit institution. It was clarified that the actions of the organization were misleading consumers, since Ozon Bank did not have such a financial product in its line.
