More than 20 tanks, 34 horses, 50 helicopters and several thousand soldiers will take part in the parade in honor of the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army, which will be held on June 14 in Washington. This was reported on May 21 by The Washington Post (WP).

According to the newspaper, at the end of the holiday, the main part of the military parade will take place, in which US army personnel will march from the memorial of the President of the United States during the Civil War of 1865-1865, Abraham Lincoln, to the monument to the first American leader, George Washington. The soldiers will be wearing uniforms that the United States Army has used throughout various conflicts, starting with the Revolutionary War (1775-1783).

It is reported that 28 M1 Abrams tanks, 28 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, 28 Stryker armored fighting vehicles, more than 50 helicopters, two mules and a dog will accompany the military personnel in the parade. At the very end of the event, those present will see a parachute jump performed by soldiers of the parachute brigade of the US Armed Forces, which is called the "Golden Knights".

US Army spokesman Steve Warren told WP that he did not have accurate information about the costs, but some US Army representatives said that the celebrations would cost $25 — $45 million for the armed forces alone.

WP reported on May 16 that a large-scale military parade, which is scheduled in Washington for June, will take place on the same day that President Donald Trump turns 79. The soldiers who will take part in the celebrations will be stationed in government buildings in the center of the capital.
