The Houthis announced a deliberate strike on the Israeli Ben Gurion airport.

Yemeni Houthis from the Ansar Allah movement attacked Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv using a ballistic missile. This was announced on May 22 by Yahya Saria, a representative of the group.

"The missile forces of the Yemeni armed forces conducted a military operation, during which they attacked <...> Ben Gurion airport in the occupied region of Jaffa (Tel Aviv. — Ed.) using the Zulfikar ballistic missile," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Saria said that as a result of the attack, the airport was suspended for one hour. He also stressed that attacks on Israel will be stopped only if the military operations in the Gaza Strip are completed and the blockade is lifted.

The IDF has stepped up operations around the entire perimeter of the exclave — during one of the strikes, the head of the military wing of Hamas was killed.

The Yemeni Shafaq news agency reported on May 18 that the Ansar Allah Hussites had launched two ballistic missiles at Israel's Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. The agency noted that as a result of the attack, the operation of the Israeli airport was disrupted.
