The Russian Navy delegation took part in the Lima 2025 Naval Exhibition in Malaysia

A delegation of the Russian Navy took part in the International Naval Exhibition Lima 2025, which is taking place on the island of Langkawi in Malaysia. This was announced on May 22 in the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
A detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) consisting of the corvettes "Sharp" and "Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov" entered the port of Langkawi on an unofficial visit on May 21. This detachment anchored on the outer roadstead of the island, where it took part in the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
"I should note that Russia is one of the few countries that has presented two ships here. If we talk about our ships, about the impression they left yesterday with all the participants of the naval part of the opening. <...> The impression was the most wonderful," said Admiral Vladimir Vorobyov, head of the Russian delegation, Deputy Commander—in-Chief of the Navy.
During the exhibition, he met with the Deputy Minister of Defense of Malaysia and the Commander of the National Naval Forces, Mohamed Khaled Nordin. The parties discussed the prospects of Russian-Malaysian cooperation in the naval field and noted the active development of relations between the sailors of the two countries.
The 17th LIMA 2025 International Maritime and Aviation Salon is a leading event in the Asia-Pacific region. The exhibition highlights the importance of international defense cooperation by providing a unique opportunity to showcase the latest technologies, conclude contracts, and discuss maritime security issues.
On April 22, the press service of the Pacific Fleet reported that the crews of the Pacific Fleet ships completed the business call program at the port of Chittagong and conducted naval exercises together with the Naval Forces of the Republic of Bangladesh.
