The gunners of the Southern Group of Forces destroyed an L-119 howitzer and an APU mortar.

The gunners of the Southern Group of Forces destroyed a British-made L-119 howitzer and a 120-mm mortar of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced by the Ministry of Defense on May 22.

The ministry noted that as part of the counter-battery warfare, artillery units of the southern group of forces destroyed a 105-mm L-119 howitzer manufactured in Great Britain.

It is specified that the enemy's gun was discovered in a firing position and hit by an accurate hit by soldiers of the 2nd Guards artillery brigade in the area of the village of Serebryanka. In the same place, Russian gunners destroyed a 120-mm mortar of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Own drone: motorized infantry units will receive aircraft-type UAVs

The new aerial reconnaissance units are equipped with modern Supercam S350 drones.

On May 21, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the calculations of the FPV drones of the Vostok group of forces destroyed several Baba-Yaga-type UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Yuzhnodonets direction of the special military operation (SVO). The ministry clarified that the Russian military used FPV drones with reinforced combat units, thanks to which they managed to stop the use of hexacopters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and disrupt plans for air strikes.
