Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov presented the standard of the Commander-in-Chief of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Russia to the Hero of Russia, Colonel General Andrei Mordvichev. This was reported by the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper on May 22.

It is noted that during the solemn military ritual, Mordvichev was introduced to the personnel of the main command of the Ground forces. Belousov expressed confidence that Mordvichev would continue his service with dignity, as he has extensive military experience.

"Colonel-General Andrey Nikolaevich Mordvichev is an experienced combat officer who fully revealed the talent of a military commander during a special military operation," the newspaper quoted the defense minister as saying.
