Taxi drivers without OSGOP insurance are going to be caught using cameras

Taxi drivers without OSGOP insurance (Compulsory insurance of civil liability of the carrier) are planned to be detected using cameras of the "Web" system. This follows from the draft government decree prepared by the Ministry of Transport. Izvestia has reviewed the document. If approved, it should enter into force on September 1, 2025.
The FGIS Taxi state information system is planned to be transformed into a central service for monitoring passenger carriers, linking it with the federal population information register, insurers' databases and information systems of the State Traffic Inspectorate (GAI). The unified service should also include vehicle technical inspection databases (EAISTO), special software for the Unified Road Safety System (UIAS BDD), as well as the Web service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, designed to record offenses on the roads and search for criminals.
Now you can check the fact of insurance by the state registration plate of the vehicle, or by the INN of the carrier on the website of the National Union of Liability Insurers (NSSO), which contains data on OSGOP policies, the organization told Izvestia. The NSSO also provides Rostransnadzor with data from its OSGOP information system, the union noted.
After the system is launched, it will be able to identify violators automatically. They found it difficult to specify when this would happen.
