Russian President Vladimir Putin called Igor Nikitin, coach of the Yaroslavl hockey club Lokomotiv, and congratulated him, the coaching staff, and the team on winning the Gagarin Cup. This was announced on May 22 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
