The Russian Defense Ministry told about the exploits of the Russian Armed Forces in the special operation zone

On May 22, the Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of a special military operation (SVO).

The ministry noted the actions of Private Vasyl Demshin, who carried out combat missions to storm strongholds, resistance centers, long-term firing facilities and important militant facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The task of capturing one of the platoon strongpoints was assigned to the assault group of Private Demshin. Thanks to the reconnaissance of the area and covert actions, the group under his command stealthily approached the positions of the Ukrainian militants and attacked them.

Having gained a foothold in the stronghold, Demshin, together with his subordinates, organized a defense and repelled two enemy counterattacks, destroying part of the enemy's infantry in close combat. During the battle, the private provided first aid to his wounded comrades, and then dragged them to a safe place, handing them over to the evacuation group. The decisive actions of the private made it possible to capture the enemy's stronghold without losses and gain a foothold on it before the main forces approached.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation drew attention to the actions of the guard of Private Daniil Solovyov, who, acting as part of a self-propelled artillery installation, performed combat missions to fire support the actions of Russian assault groups leading an offensive in one of the tactical areas. After the battle, the soldier performed a combat mission to prepare a new concealed firing position for an artillery piece.

During its execution, Solovyov discovered an enemy reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). After receiving an order from the unit commander to destroy the enemy drone, he immediately opened fire with standard small arms and destroyed the enemy reconnaissance drone. Thanks to Solovyov's timely and decisive actions, it was possible to prevent the AFU from scouting the firing positions of the Russian Armed Forces, to preserve equipment and personnel, which contributed to the successful continuation of the offensive of Russian troops in this sector of the front.

On May 21, the Russian Ministry of Defense provided footage of the objective control of the combat drone of the 1431st motorized Rifle regiment of the North group of Russian troops, which destroyed the Starlink satellite communications terminal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the SVO zone in the Kharkiv region. It was clarified that the enemy's communication device was discovered in a wooded area by means of aerial reconnaissance.
