Finnish President Alexander Stubb has announced the possible holding of the next meeting on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict next week in the Vatican. This was reported on May 21 by the Yle news portal.

"Alexander Stubb states that technical negotiations are likely to continue in the Vatican next week," the report says.

At the same time, the President noted that Europe intends to become one of the mediators in the conflict settlement along with the United States.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte noted on May 21 that maintaining contacts with Vladimir Putin on resolving the Ukrainian issue is very important. He also noted that a number of important events aimed at resolving the conflict with Kiev are expected in the coming weeks.
