As a result of an attack by drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Kursk region, two men were injured. This was announced on May 21 by the acting governor of the region, Alexander Khinshtein.
"Today, a Ukrainian drone attacked the village of Zvannoye in the Glushkovsky district. As a result of the attack, a 70-year-old local resident was injured <... > Another blow fell on the village of Korenevo in the Korenevsky district. An enemy FPV drone attacked a civilian vehicle. A 65-year—old man was injured as a result of the impact," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to the acting governor, a 70-year-old man received shrapnel wounds to his face, upper, lower extremities and abdomen. At the moment, his condition is assessed as serious, and he will be taken to a medical facility for treatment in the near future.
The second victim, a resident of the Korenevsky district, received abrasions from shrapnel and lacerations to his head, and his life and health are not in danger, Khinstein said.
He added that because of the attack on the car, the body, wheels and tank of the transport were cut off.
Earlier, on May 19, Khinstein said that one civilian was injured during an attack by an APU drone in the village of Kekino in the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region. He was diagnosed with a closed craniocerebral injury, concussion, as well as acupressure and shrapnel wounds to the head and neck.
