Large-scale exercises to eliminate marine accidents were held in the Caspian Sea. This was reported on May 21 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

"The scenario is close to reality: victims on the water: strong wind and limited time. According to legend, each of the crash victims is seriously injured," said correspondent Daniyal Isaev.

During the exercises, the entire algorithm of actions in case of a shipwreck was worked out: from receiving a distress signal to evacuating the crew and providing medical assistance to the victims.

"The priority was the actions of both rescuers and first aid personnel. There was a hospital stage, it is the most important, because it provides life—saving," said Igor Mosyagin, head of the military medical Directorate of the Main Command of the Russian Navy.

Rescuers, medics, military and border guards from several regions took part in the exercises. The main task was to work out the coordinated interaction of all services in an emergency situation.

On April 23, the Baltic Fleet conducted exercises to ensure the safety of navigation, during which military sailors trained to defend maritime communications, escort and protect civilian vessels from drone attacks. In total, about 20 warships, 5,000 military personnel and more than 10 aircraft and helicopters were involved.
