The UK revealed the citizenship of most of the Ukrainian Armed Forces mercenaries

The majority of the mercenaries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are citizens of the United States, Canada, Georgia and the United Kingdom. This was announced on May 21 by Alexander Bastrykin, head of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR), at the International Youth Legal Forum in St. Petersburg.

It is specified that the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has completed the investigation of 127 criminal cases of mercenary activities. As a result, 97 mercenaries from 26 countries were charged.

"42 of them are from Georgia, 13 from the USA, ten from Latvia, four from Great Britain, four from France, three from Finland, two from Lithuania, and one each from Lithuania and Australia," Bastrykin said during the forum. His words are quoted by TASS.

On April 2, a mercenary from Spain, Joan Estevez, who fought in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in an interview with the Periodico newspaper, spoke about large-scale corruption and disdain for foreigners, noting that they were being used as "cannon fodder." He complained about the poor conditions of the military and the lack of necessary equipment, clothing and equipment.
