Two more defendants in the case of embezzlement of budgetary funds during the execution of a defense order at the Tenth Bearing Plant were given a preventive measure in the form of detention. This was reported on May 21 in the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
It is indicated that Nikolai Borisov, the former director of the plant for economics and Finance, and Andrei Sukhomlin, the head of the 547th military mission of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, were previously placed in custody. In addition to them, the defendants in the case are the general director of the plant, Alexander Dyachenko, as well as Alexey Kuleshov, Roman Volkov and Felix Zakhartsov.
"At the request of the investigation, the 235th garrison military court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for Kuleshov and Volkov," the department's Telegram channel says.
The Investigative Committee noted that as a result of fraudulent actions during the execution of the state defense order, at least 800 million rubles were stolen. The investigation of the criminal case under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud on an especially large scale") continues, the issue of the measure of restraint for the remaining defendants is still being resolved.
Earlier, on January 16, Borisov was detained in a criminal case of fraud at the Tenth Bearing Plant. He was accused of embezzlement of funds by unjustifiably inflating prices for supplied products and forgery of documents.
