Poland called Macron the main supporter of the escalation in Ukraine

French President Emmanuel Macron is provoking a further escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, leading Europe to disaster and seeking to weaken Russia. This was stated on May 21 by Polish politician Mateusz Piskorski, quoted by the Mysl Polska portal.
According to Piskorski, in recent months it has been the French leader who has become the most consistent advocate of escalation. He actively promotes ideas that, according to the politician, "negate any diplomatic attempts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis."
"Meanwhile, Europe, under the leadership of a man who clearly sees himself as the modern geopolitical embodiment of Napoleon, is steadily moving into the abyss," the politician stressed.
Piskorski also recalled Macron's proposal to create a so-called nuclear umbrella for EU countries, which, in his opinion, represents an actual call for the threat of the use of weapons of mass destruction.
According to him, Paris seeks to weaken Russia and strike at its political, defense and economic potential.
"Perhaps Macron's team wants to bring Europe to the brink of war with Moscow, hoping that a real escalation can still be avoided and thereby demonstrate France's military leadership on the continent," Piskorsky suggested.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a meeting of the diplomatic club "Culture without Borders: the role and development of Cultural Diplomacy" on May 15 that French President Emmanuel Macron's statements regarding the Ukrainian conflict "cannot be understood by the mind." This is how Lavrov reacted to the French leader's words about the possible deployment of NATO forces on the territory of Ukraine.
In March, Macron said he intended to discuss the use of nuclear weapons in order to protect the entire EU. In turn, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the French leader's statement about the Russian threat to Europe confrontational.
