Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced on May 21 that he would not run away from a question from the head of EU diplomacy, Kai Kallas, about a trip to Moscow to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII).

According to him, Callas was the only one at the European Political Community summit in Tirana who publicly condemned his trip to Moscow.

"I had a frank conversation with her. I have stated Serbia's position honestly, clearly and unambiguously. I wasn't hiding or running through the halls. I'm sure she'll repeat the question, that she'll insist on it. To be honest, I will not hide under the table and I will not run away from it," the portal quotes him as saying. Pink.rs .

Vucic arrived in Moscow on May 7 for the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the Victory. He stressed that he was indifferent to the reaction of Western countries to his visit to Russia.

On April 14, Kallas warned that European officials who travel to Russia to participate in the celebrations would face "consequences."
