In Belarus, the production of Geely EX5 electric crossovers has begun at the Belji plant. RIA Novosti reported this in its Telegram channel on May 21 with reference to the company's CEO Gennady Svirsky.

"The EX5 is the first model that was already assembled at the factory, that is, it has a Belarusian VIN code. And we have programs for putting it on a large-scale assembly. Thanks to this model, we can say that the Belji plant is starting production of electric vehicles," Svidersky said and noted that the official presentation of the EX5, adapted for the Belarusian market, will take place soon.

In Russia, Geely announced the launch of sales of the EX5 in March this year, the model is available in two trim levels priced from 4.1 million and 4.4 million rubles, respectively. The electric motor develops 218 hp, front-wheel drive.

With a weight of 1,840 kg, the car can accelerate to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. The Geely EX5's fast direct current battery charging time from 10 to 80% is 28 minutes. The battery at maximum charge provides a range of up to 430 km (according to the WLTP cycle).

On May 5, it was reported that the Belgee X50 crossover, which is produced at the Belgee plant in Belarus, entered the top five of the Russian car market for the first time in 2025.
