The financing of the Arctic master plans within the framework of national projects will amount to 106 billion rubles. This was announced on May 21 by Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, during a government hour on Arctic development in the State Duma.
According to him, all the master plans have been prepared and reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"In accordance with the instructions of the head of state, sections with master plan events have been created in new national projects of Russia, which provided financing for plans in the amount of 106 billion rubles," he said at a meeting that was broadcast on the State Duma website.
Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), announced on March 27 that an investment fund for the development of the Arctic would be created by the end of this year. In addition, he stressed the interest of US companies in investing in the Arctic, including in a number of Russian technologies, including projects in the field of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
