On May 21, Krasnodar Territory Governor Veniamin Kondratiev dismissed his deputy, Alexander Nesterenko, who oversaw the region's construction sector.

According to the head of the region, the reason for this decision was the systematic lag behind schedule in the construction of social facilities.

Of the 149 construction projects — schools, clinics, kindergartens — more than half are lagging significantly, Kondratiev noted.

"I respect Alexander Nesterenko, but a person who does not show results cannot continue to work in such a responsible position. I've talked about this more than once," the governor said at the meeting, a fragment of which was published on his Telegram channel.

The head of the region stressed that residents are waiting for the completion of these facilities, and the authorities have no right to let them down.

"My team should have people who can effectively work for the development of the region and improve the quality of life in it," he concluded.

On April 28, it happened that Rinat Khismatulin, head of the Department of Civil Defense and Fire Safety, resigned in the Trans-Baikal Territory at the height of the fires.
