An eyewitness to a gas explosion in a Stavropol house survived due to being late for work.

An eyewitness to the gas explosion that occurred in an apartment building in Stavropol, a local resident named Ekaterina, told Izvestia on May 21 how she miraculously survived because she was late for work.

At the moment when the explosion occurred, Ekaterina was already supposed to sit in the car and go to work, but she was late and stayed in the apartment. Then a concrete slab fell on her vehicle after a gas explosion.

"It's not even sad that I was late for work today because my car is going to be scrapped. He was crushed by the slabs. If you're late or forgot something at home, I recommend that you come back and don't worry about these little things. It means that you are being protected from something, and all accidents are not accidental," the girl noted.

Ekaterina added that after the explosion, her home was covered in dust and sand. Later, emergency workers arrived and evacuated her from the apartment. At the same time, all the girl's documents remained in the damaged car. According to the interviewee, the car purchased on credit is not recoverable. For her, the most important thing is that she stayed alive. Now Ekaterina is trying to recover the lost documents.

Investigators are continuing to work at the scene. The footage from there shows the damaged premises of an apartment building.

He noted that specialists would subsequently inspect the building to plan restoration work. A criminal case was later opened into the explosion.

Later it was reported that Vladimirov gave instructions to restore a multi-storey building in Stavropol, in which a gas explosion occurred, in two weeks. Temporary accommodation has been arranged for residents of the entrance.
