In Russia, the activities of the Austrian Institute of Humanities, the Association Institut für die Wissenschaften vom Menschen (IWM), which creates a negative image of the Russian Federation in its publications, have been recognized as undesirable. The Russian Prosecutor General's Office announced the relevant decision on May 21.

It is noted that since 2015, IWM employees based in Vienna have been implementing a commercial program aimed at violating the territorial integrity of Russia. Their activities are supervised by Western intelligence agencies.

"By manipulating the facts, they are actively working to create an image of "Aggressor Russia." In their publications, pseudo—researchers urge to provide Kiev neo-Nazis with weapons, support criminal attacks on civilians and advocate for increased military confrontation in the free zone," the agency's website says.

Among the institute's partners are the American organizations Open Society Foundations, the Atlantic Council of the United States, as well as the Austrian Central European University, which had previously been considered undesirable in Russia.

A day earlier, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation declared the activities of the British non-governmental organization (NGO) Amnesty International Limited (AIL) undesirable in Russia. According to the press service of the department, the organization positions itself as a leader in the protection of human rights in the world, although in fact it develops Russophobic projects paid for by supporters of the Kiev regime.
