Economic experts lowered their forecast for German economic growth to 0.0%, although growth was expected to be 0.4% in the fall of 2024. Tagesspiegel wrote about this on May 21, citing experts.

Experts believe that in 2025, the German economy is still in a "pronounced phase of weakness," but in 2026 the economy may recover somewhat and show growth of 1%.

At the end of last year, former German Economy Minister Robert Habeck (Greens) He also expected the economy to stagnate to 1% in 2026.

On January 30, it was reported that the German economy continues to shrink due to declining confidence in the government. It was clarified that German GDP in the fourth quarter of 2024 fell by 0.2% compared to the previous three months.

On January 29, several hundred entrepreneurs gathered in Germany at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, opposing the economic policies of the country's authorities and the European Union.
