Owners of cars that were wrecked in a gas explosion can compensate for the damage.

The Governor of the Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Vladimirov, instructed the legislature to resolve the issue of compensation for damage to car owners whose cars were damaged in a domestic gas explosion. The head of the region stated this in his Telegram channel on May 21.
Vladimirov said this after discussing the situation with the explosion of household gas in a house on Tukhachevsky Street in Stavropol with the head of the city and the heads of the regional Ministries of Health, Housing and Communal Services and the Ministry of Social Protection.
"The difficult issue is helping people whose cars are damaged. So far, our legislation does not provide for assistance in such cases. I think this is wrong. We will fix it. I have instructed to develop draft amendments to the regional legislation," the governor wrote.
He noted that a two-week deadline has been set for the restoration of the house damaged by the explosion. Five apartments were damaged in the incident, and the glazing in the neighboring house was damaged by the explosion. Vladimirov instructed to work out payments to the victims in accordance with the regional law.
The day before, it was reported that the State Duma proposed to ban the perpetrators of accidents from driving vehicles until compensation for damage caused in a road accident. Restricting the right to drive a vehicle can be an effective way to enforce a court decision and compensate for material damage caused in an accident, the authors of the bill believe.
