Spanish police have not yet identified the shooters of ex-Yanukovych adviser Portnov.

The Spanish police still have no information about the shooters of the ex-adviser to the former president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych. A police representative informed about this on May 21.
"We have indeed received information about his death. We don't have any information about the criminals yet," he told RIA Novosti.
According to the Ukrainian edition "Country.ua", two or three people took part in the murder of Portnov. He was driving a car at the time of the incident. As a result, the man received at least three gunshot wounds, one of which was to the head.
It is specified that the Tailor was 51 years old. In the 2000s, he served as a deputy of the Rada, and in 2010 he became deputy head of the presidential administration. At that time, Portnov was responsible for the courts and the law enforcement system.
After the coup in Ukraine, Portnov lived abroad. In 2019, the politician returned to this country the day before the inauguration of its president, Vladimir Zelensky.
"The country.ua" indicated that Portnov conducted his own investigation into many aspects of the activities of ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
He also repeatedly criticized the activities of structures associated with the Democratic Party of the United States. In 2021, after American President Joe Biden came to power, Washington imposed sanctions against the Ukrainian politician.
"He was considered an influential person in the judicial, legal and law enforcement structures of Ukraine," the newspaper writes.
Portnov's murder was reported on May 21 by Spanish radio Cadena SER. He was shot dead near Madrid. The killer was waiting for the politician on a motorcycle, and after the shooting he quickly disappeared.
